In search of an original solution to divide the Ypres museum into themed zones, scenography bureau Piece Montée contacted me after seeing my ribbon loops during a workshop visit. I selected colours for each space, and ten kilometers (!) of knitted ribbons with random patterns rolled out of the old knitting machine. They were treated to become flame retardant and provide a wavy, see-through nod to the region’s textile history.
